Great Vespers for the Feast of the Annunciation

On March 24, 2026, His Eminence celebrated the Great Vespers for the Feast of the Annunciation at Evangelismos Greek Orthodox Church in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania, concelebrating with proistamenos Fr. John Johns and clergy of the Delaware Valley and North Jersey. At the conclusion of the service, His Eminence elevated Fr. John Johns to the rank of protopresbyter in recognition of his more than twenty years of dedicated service and exemplary pastoral ministry. Fr. John expressed gratitude for the honor, noting that it marked a meaningful beginning to the parish’s upcoming 125th anniversary celebration in October. A reception followed, during which Parish Council President Archon Anthony C. Limberakis reflected on the parish’s history and invited His Eminence to attend the anniversary festivities.
